Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have welcomed 2,991 applicants in the Express Entry pool to apply for permanent residence in the second draw to occur so far this August.

Applicants with at least 433 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points will get an Invitation to Apply (ITA) because of the August 9 draw. This is the most reduced CRS cut-off edge since May, and hence the least since changes to the CRS — including the presentation of extra points for French speakers and applicants with a sibling in Canada — were actualized toward the beginning of June.

The three past draws that occurred since those progressions became effective all had a CRS cut-off limit in the 440’s. The way that the most recent draw took after rapidly after the last draw, which occurred precisely seven days back on August 2, would have been a contributing component to the reduction in the threshold this time around, as longer crevices between draws enable more possibility to enter the pool.
