In the most recent couple of years, there’s been a shift in the immigration framework towards favoring those people with either work experience or a job offer while issuing permanent habitation.

In this content, I’ll talk about how a job offer in Canada can provide you a few routes to getting permanent residence.

Any kind of occupation offer won’t benefit you in any way. You require a job offer that has received positive Labour market opinion (LMO). What is that you ask? It is a job offer that your boss must submit not to CIC, but rather to a different government office – Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

Your employer should promote the position in Canada for a specific period of time (contingent upon the position), then apply to ESDC demonstrating it is difficult or impossible to locate a Canadian to do the job.

A positive LMO will affirm that there are no Canadians who can do the job. Without a positive LMO, the occupation offer is of no esteem to you as a potential immigrant.
